Participants will be led through the sounds of Sechelt from the street to the beach, visiting shops and experiencing familiar haunts in new ways. All events will be recorded, and then remixed at The Sound Studio.
1:00 pm – iPad, iPod and iPhone Music Demo’s, Steve Wright
Experience hands-on demos of music applications for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Learn the amazing things that are happening with technology and be inspired.
8:00 pm – SOMA FM Jam and Sleeveface, Steve Wright
Improvised music performed by workshop participants to random groove based songs featured on Internet radio station Soma FM. Have you ever made a Sleeveface? … obscuring your face or body with a record sleeve? Come up with your best Sleeveface and show it off at the event! Let your imagination run wild.

2:00 pm – Human ~ Nature

Flora: Create the Tree of Wishes by embellishing a leaf with art and written words, prayers, hopes, and inspiration, then hang your art on the installation. Click here to learn more about this workshop.
All participants can take their artwork home at the end of the installation in October.

1:00 pm – Acoustic Jam Nation, Steve Wright
If you have an acoustic instrument, and are at the level of playing with others, come and PLAY. This spirited, open format jam will see a rag tag motley crew of Coasters strumming, drumming, singing and who knows what else. From classic acoustic songs to the odd 80’s cover to original material – maybe yours? This will be a super fun way to wrap up the weekend events.

Fauna: Join us in populating the art installation with natural creatures, salmon, birds, and animals. Cardboard, cut-out stick puppets, mobiles, and sock puppets will be brought to life to express their inner truths about nature. Click here to learn more about this workshop.
